Back in 2010, (holy shit was 2010 seriously 7 years ago already?!), I visited what I believe to be the most romantic city in the enitre world-- Rome. Italy holds a significant part of my life, as I love to identify with my Italian self, due to my mad respect to my 100% Italian grandfather. He took me on this trip, (as he did most of the places I've been), and I owe my intense passion for travel to him. He taught me how to love this Earth with everything you have, because everything about it has depths that one could never ever believe is possible. I believed that especially in the city of Rome, a heart of a country to say the least, and met my long-lost relatives while I was there! Of course I couldn't understand anything they were saying, as I only speak English fluently, however my wonderful grandfather translated for us all. It was an experience I will never forget, and am still connected with these relatives through Facebook ( yay technology ).
Ancient history in Rome is crucial to the importance of the development of this world, and I got this unexplainable opportunity to walk along a real-life timeline. All of Italy is on my bucket list, and I promise to see that through.
PS: I say LA Roma, because I believe if Rome had a gender, it would be a very beautifully feminine woman in a fancy red dress with a red rose in her mouth.
