In 2012 I got the amazing opportunity to travel with my beloved grandfather and other family to see the landmark cities of London & Paris. Paris is for sure a country of it's own independence, and marks as a worldwide captial for people around the globe. Besides it's famous Eiphel Tower & Arch de Triumph, I most importantly got to wander along the barren D-Day grounds of the English Channel -- I think this has to have been the most important, overwhelming, emotional, mind-opening traveled adventures I have ever been on. The fact that I was putting my feet in the sand of a place that happened to be one of the most brutal, bloodiest places to ever exist in history had me torn in my heart. The peace I now felt in this place is the kind of peace I wish to share with the world - yet the trauma and violence that once existed here can never be forgotten & my heart is and forever will be with the soldiers that stood in my place with their boots in the sand on June 6, 1944 @ Omaha Beach Normandia
